Wedding invitations should be ordered 4 or more months before your wedding. We take on a limited number of invitation designs each month. If possible, we recommend reaching out sooner rather than later to get on our design calendar! Many clients book their invitations 6 or more months before their wedding.

When thinking of how many invitations to order, think of the number of households that will receive an invitation. One invitation goes to one house instead of each person.  Be sure to order a few extra invitations, too. You’ll probably want one to save and have for your detail pictures.  Having a few extras will be nice to have in case you forgot anyone on your guest list or if an invitation didn’t arrive in the mail.

Mail save the dates 6 or more months before your wedding. Of course that means you’ll need to get started on a save the date design about 4-6 weeks before you plan to mail the save the dates.  If you’re getting married close to a holiday or having a destination wedding, you might want to mail save the dates 8 or 9 months before your wedding.
